Primary School Zone

The guidelines for developing and operating enrolment schemes are issued under Schedule 20, section 9 of the Education and Training Act 2020.

This section, formerly section 11G(3) of the Education Act 1989, describes the basis on which the Secretary’s powers in relation to enrolment schemes are exercised.

Zoned Students

Students living within our home zone are entitled to enrol. We encourage parents of zoned students to apply early to help us plan appropriately for the upcoming school year.

Out of Zone Students

The Board has allocated limited places for out-of-zone students this year. Applications from out-of-zone students will be processed according to priority order, as outlined in our enrolment scheme, which is available for inspection at the school office. If the number of out-of-zone applications exceeds available spaces, a ballot will be conducted to determine selection.

Government School Donation Scheme

We are proud to be part of the Government School Donation Scheme, which means that Chapel Downs does not require families to pay voluntary school donations.

This initiative is designed to reduce the financial burden on families while ensuring we can continue to provide high-quality education and resources for our students.
