We strive to help our students flourish—not just in their learning, but in building a strong foundation for lifelong success.

We believe that well-being is central to all we do, and that developing character is just as important as cultivating intellect. Recognising that learning is a social, emotional, and cognitive journey, we are committed to inspiring and engaging the whole child.

“We believe that students thrive when they feel valued, supported, and understood. Building strong relationships is at the heart of what we do—knowing each child as an individual allows us to nurture their well-being, inspire their learning, and help them grow in confidence.”

Our framework for wellbeing

Chapel Downs Learner Dispositions are embedded in everything we do.

Over the years, our students develop a strong understanding of what it means to be a Chapel Downs Champ—both within our school and when representing us in the wider community. Through these dispositions, they grow into confident, respectful, and capable learners who embody our school values in all aspects of their lives.

  • We are Investigators
  • We are Self-managers
  • We are Communicators
  • We are Respectful
  • We are Team Players
  • We can Persevere

These are our ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving that come naturally and effortlessly, enabling students to function and perform at their best. These dispositions help shape confident, capable learners who thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Health and Well-being Programmes

We recognise that fostering a culture of well-being extends beyond any single programme.

It involves experiential learning and positive interactions with role models.

To support our students’ health and well-being, we have developed comprehensive well-being programmes in both the Primary School and Junior College.

These programmes complement our established pastoral system, ensuring holistic support for every student.
